Introducing candidates to Abode is important: it helps candidates understand the technology they will be using and your expectations of them, with the goal of facilitating a smooth, successful transition into the platform.
We recommend introducing your candidates to Abode before they are enrolled.
Doing so helps with platform awareness and expectations and increases the likelihood of candidate registrations.
Our goal is to help you get as many candidates into your journey(s) as possible so they can see all of the information and resources you’ve put together!
There is no right or wrong way to communicate with candidates about Abode. Whether via email, text message, or 1:1 conversations/communication, it is dependent on your team, your processes, and your bandwidth.
Depending on the method you choose (e.g., email, verbal, or a combination of both), we recommend outlining how your team plans on using the platform, the associated timeline or duration of the journey, and how candidates will receive updates or notifications.

What is Abode?
Abode is an onboarding experience platform designed to help candidates prepare for their first day at [Company Name]. The platform is a centralized place with all information you need to know as you ramp up and get started. Abode has several features that help with setting expectations, facilitating connections, giving feedback, and more. When you register for the platform, you will create a profile and see your journey: steps that will provide information, action items, and other reminders. You may also see a Directory and Forum that will connect you to your other incoming new hires.
Content
Within the platform and your journey, you may receive general information, reminders, event information, or other tasks you need to complete. You will also have access to a Resource Center for any general documentation or links. As soon as you register for the platform, you will have 24/7 access so you can return at any time to access your journey. Abode will be your home base, your all-in-one platform for anything related to [Company Name].
Community
You may also see a Directory and Forum in your platform. Use the Directory to build out your profile and view/connect with other candidates. The Forum is an online discussion board where you can post questions or polls to your fellow cohort members.
Timing
We plan on adding candidates to Abode’s platform in [timeline].
Notifications
When we add you to Abode, you will receive an email inviting you to register for the platform. You will also receive emails every time a new step in your journey becomes available and when new posts are in the forum. When you create your profile/account, you will also have the option to add your phone number to receive text notifications as well.

- Upon creation of your profile, you can add your phone number and opt into text message notifications as well.
- The platform will be the central hub of information for onboarding, so once your account is created you can return as many times as you like to review our information.
- Your dashboard will be organized by [region/role/business unit/etc.]. Once you’re in the platform, you can use the Directory and Forum features to connect with other incoming hires.
